Hi, my son still wears diapers. Can you please help me with tips to help him stop using it. Thank you

The response to this question depends to a certain extent on the age of your son. One of the best ways to treat children's bedwetting is by using a conditioning or bedwetting alarm - these however are not typically recommended until children are around 6 or 7 years of age. Many interventions depend on children’s motivation and commitment to become dry which often isn’t the case when they are younger. If your son has expressed a desire to become dry, or his bedwetting is becoming an issue then it is time to pursue treatment. If your GP is unfamiliar with the different treatment options available ask to be referred to a continence specialist who can support you throughout the intervention. The more guidance and support you receive the greater the likelihood of a positive outcome. Good luck! Kind Regards, Dr Cathrine
